Overview
If being on the water is your passion, this 73-mile stretch of river offers liquid satisfaction. Flowing between Hancock and Sparrow Bush, NY along the Pennsylvania border, you can float or paddle a raft, canoe, kayak, or tube at one of a handful of water liveries up and down the mighty Delaware River—the last major undammed river in the eastern U.S. Then, set up camp for the night. It’s a perfect three-season adventure for families and groups.
Historic points of interest along the river include The Roebling Bridge, believed to be the oldest existing wire cable suspension bridge, spans the river, and the Zane Grey House and museum.
